Builders of Youth Futures

The organization's work is grounded in the belief that sustainable change begins with empowering individuals and strengthening communities. Builders of Youth Futures (BYF) Educational Program provides crucial academic support through scholarships, tutoring, and mentorship, helping vulnerable youth overcome barriers to education. Complementing this effort, the Healthcare Program delivers essential medical services and wellness education to underserved populations, addressing both immediate health needs and long-term wellbeing.

At the heart of BYF's mission is its Empowerment Program, which equips individuals with practical skills and confidence-building opportunities to foster personal growth and community leadership. This is further supported by the Livelihood Program, which focus on creating awareness and economic empowerment initiatives to create lasting pathways out of poverty. Recognizing the importance of systemic change, BYF's Community Awareness Campaigns work to shift cultural attitudes, particularly around girls education, through community dialogues and resource mobilization.

Ndeito Koisi
Founder

Ndeito Koisi, the founder of Builders of Youth Future (BYF), is a passionate Maasai leader and advocate born and raised in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Growing up in a large pastoralist family his father had 39 children from six wives Koisi witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by marginalized communities, particularly in education, gender equality, and economic opportunities. These experiences shaped his lifelong commitment to social justice and community empowerment.

After completing his studies in Project Planning and Management in 2019 Koisi dedicated himself to volunteer work, collaborating with various organizations to advocate for equality and better opportunities for rural communities. His deep understanding of the struggles faced by the Maasai people and other marginalized groups inspired him to take bold action.

In 2022, he founded BYF to create sustainable solutions for those most in need, focusing on education, healthcare, empowerment, and livelihood programs. As a Maasai warrior turned changemaker, Koisi brings a unique perspective to community development. His leadership is rooted in cultural pride, resilience, and a vision for a more equitable future.

Through BYF, he continues to champion gender equality, youth empowerment, and inclusive growth, ensuring that no one in his community is left behind. His journey from cattle herder to founder of a thriving NGO stands as a testament to the power of determination and grassroots leadership.
